A practice can know its current system is costing the team time and still feel forced to wait because paying for two software platforms sounds irrational. Contract Freedom is meant to make that overlap a much smaller part of the decision.

Maximum 24-month credit period
Credits end when the approved overlap ends or after 24 months, whichever comes first.
Limited program availability
The current program is limited to 50 qualifying hospitals: 25 in the United States and 25 in the United Kingdom.
Up to two payment card readers are included at no cost for qualifying hospitals. Credits have no cash value, are not transferable, and remain subject to PawthosX agreement and program terms.
The remaining question
If the current system is working, stay.
But if “working” means the team has become very good at compensating for it, a contract should not automatically commit them to another year of doing that.

Can a veterinary clinic switch software before its current contract ends?
Yes. Contract Freedom allows qualifying veterinary clinics and hospitals in the United States and United Kingdom to move to PawthosX while continuing to meet the obligations of their existing software agreement. PawthosX credits the eligible PawthosX One base platform fee during the approved overlap for up to 24 months when the clinic uses PawthosX Payments.
Does PawthosX buy out or cancel the existing software contract?
No. The clinic remains responsible for its current agreement and continues paying the existing provider. Contract Freedom applies credits to the eligible PawthosX One base platform fee during the approved overlap.
How much can Contract Freedom be worth?
The value depends on the eligible PawthosX One platform fee and the documented time remaining on the existing agreement. The current program is designed around up to 24 months of eligible overlap, with potential credits of approximately $12,000 to $18,000 depending on the approved plan and term.
Is PawthosX Payments required?
Yes. Use of PawthosX Payments is required during the Contract Freedom credit period. Standard payment-processing rates and PawthosX agreement terms apply.
Offer available to the first 50 qualifying new PawthosX veterinary clinics and hospitals, with 25 places allocated to the United States and 25 to the United Kingdom. The hospital must provide documentation showing the end date of its existing veterinary software agreement and use PawthosX Payments during the eligible credit period.
Monthly credits apply only to the eligible PawthosX One base platform fee and continue until the documented agreement ends, for a maximum of 24 months. Credits have no cash value, are not transferable, and end if the hospital stops meeting program requirements. Includes up to two payment card readers at no cost.
